The number of visitors to the Parish Church throughout last year continued to be high despite alterations to the Church building. Many people work 'behind the scenes' to make the Church a place of welcome. We are grateful to them and to the many other helpers whose work brings them into direct contact with our visitors: to the team of Church Stewards organised by Eric Roberts, to the occasional Welcomers who augment this work at busy seasons; and to John Lawrence and Derek Barnard who organise guided tours around the church. The friendly greeting offered to our visitors greatly enhances the enjoyment of their visit and makes them feel valued. Visitors have expressed appreciation at being greeted, the level of giving has increased, and church members seem more aware of the importance of a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as part of the church's mission.Thank you to all who have been involved, new recruits are always welcome in this evolving ministry.Would you like to volunteer?
