St Lawrence Church is the newest of the three churches in the parish. As a dual-purpose building it is often used just as a hall but weekly services take place as well. The church stands in its own grounds with a small car-park and was built in the 1950s through subscriptions from the local community and with help from the PCC. St Lawrence's style of worship is probably the most informal although its form is still firmly within the Anglican tradition. Like the other two Anglican churches, St Lawrence has a Eucharist service on three Sundays in the month with all-age worship on the 2nd Sunday. Musicians, drawn from the congregation, play on a rota basis at the Sunday services, so there is always a variety of music. There is a constant need for other musicians who can play keyboard, a wind instrument or guitar, so if you could help in this way, please contact us and volunteer!

Once a month, Holy Communion is provided in local sheltered accommodation and in two nursing homes in the area. We are part of the greater whole of the Cirencester Parish, and yet we feel that we have a special community feeling of our own. The church continues under the guidance of our Associate Priest-in-Charge, the Reverend Canon Margaret Bettis. |
