Readers and Intercessors

Our Lay Readers play a vital role in the support of our parish work. They officiate at services, preach, read the Gospel at Eucharists and visit the housebound. Our Lay readers also look after the hospital clergy rota, act as secretary to the PCC and take responsibility for the engarving of names on the memorials in the Gareden of Remembrance at the Parish Church.

Our intercessors, too, form a very important part of church life. On a regular basi, in all three churches, they create this part of our worship. Every week they lead the congregation in prayer, remembering those who are sick and those who have died.

Anyone who would like to join the intercessors list is invited to speak to one of the Churchwardens at any of the three churches.
